New Mom's Starter Kit

Goals

• Distribution of a gift bag of clothing, blankets and toiletry products that are suitable for bringing a newborn home form the hospital.
• This program is intended to offer some assistance to low-income mothers who are preparing for the birth of their child.
• Some of the toiletry items that are distributed to the new mothers have been donated to the Neighbour to Neighbour Centre through the Food Bank.
• Volunteer’s knit items such as the sweaters sets and hand quilt the blankets. The wool that is used is usually purchased with donated funds.
• The New Mom's Starter Package is given to expectant mothers (more than 7 months pregnant) or parents (mother or father) who have delivered within the last month.
